catalogue

A growing library of small-press works from far afield. Truculent texts, tentacular works needing reader kin, gathered works-on-paper. A personal library made public. These are books I have to share (have to share) with writers, students and readers of poetry for whom multimodality, hybrid-form books, or small-run books produced by indie presses, can come at a prohibitive cost or be altogether evasive. Poetry repays (in) a circular economy.

So here are some contemporary and strange circuit-breakers: genre-inquisitive, formally disruptive, politically non-conformist texts; tenderly aesthetic papered objects troubling definition, asemic, polysemic, germinal; verbo-visual writing, mixed-media writing, hybrid writing, conceptual writing; many texts that care for form as content, others more committed to bothering syntactical structure with intent.

Anyone in Melbourne is welcome to come by my office to browse and borrow this or that. Get in touch to be let in.
